Duck, Duck, Goose!

Over Thanksgiving break, Alex went duck and goose hunting with his dad and some friends. While he was gone hunting I was able to spend some quality time with his step-dad watching football and talking about life, so I didn't really mind that he was gone all day hunting. I really didn't mind it last night when I was eating a delicious meal because of his hunting spree!

We woke up early to prepare the duck and goose remake (re-ma-key). The meat had been marinating in Italian dressing for the past 36 hours or so. We wrapped a piece of bacon around a piece of bird meat and a slice of pineapple, banana pepper, and or a jalapeno. We then put the wrapped up meat on a wooden skewer and also put some pineapple chunks on the skewers. We then headed off to Indy for a basketball game against Butler University and when we returned we put them in the oven for about an hour at 325 degrees.

Once the duck and goose remake was out of the oven we dove right in! It tasted so good. We had sides of mac & cheese and pears and I made brownies for dessert! The brownies were delicious and we topped them off with a scoop of ice cream. I was still full when I woke up this morning!

Workout

For today's workout I wanted to do something I have never done before. Mile repeats. I usually run and then workout, or workout and then run, but never do I run, workout, and run again.

I ran a mile at 8 minute pace, did the 7-minute Plyo Scorcher workout, then ran another 8 minute mile. Here is what it looks like written out.

Do you ever add mile repeats into your workouts?
